Punjab government is taking strict action against bribe takers. Under this, the Vigilance Bureau has arrested the registry clerk of Nakodar Tehsil of Jalandhar for taking bribe. The accused had demanded 10 thousand from Pradeep Singh Happy of Nakodar for making income certificate.

Jalandhar Vigilance has consistently cracked down on corruption and bribe-takers. Acting under this, the Vigilance Bureau has taken action against the registry clerk of Nakdaur Tehsil. Here, the bureau has arrested a registry clerk named Prashant Joshi red-handed while accepting bribe. Ludhiana Vigilance DSP Inderpal Singh has given this information.

The DSP said that a person named Pradeep Singh of Prashant Josi’s Nakodar had given a complaint to the Vigilance Bureau. In the complaint, Pradeep said that the registry clerk is not reading his income certificate. The complainant said that he is demanding Rs 10,000 in exchange for making the income certificate. After receiving the complaint, Vigilance conducted an investigation.

The case was settled in 6 thousand

In the investigation, the clerk was found fully guilty, after which the vigilance took action and arrested the registry clerk. The DSP said that after all the planning, the complainant Pradeep Singh alias Happy was called to the office. According to the vigilance planning, Happy settled the matter with the registry clerk for 6000 thousand. And when the accused started taking bribe from the suspect, he was caught.

To control the registry clerk, the vigilance sent the complainant Pradeep Singh Happy to registry clerk Prashant Joshi after giving him a note containing chemical powder. Meanwhile, as soon as the registry clerk started taking money from Pradeep Singh, the vigilance caught him on the spot.
