During a meeting with the representatives of Punjab Roadways/Punbus Employees Joint Action Committee at his office, the Transport Minister assured the representatives of the Action Committee that the long pending demands of Punjab Roadways are being met in a phased manner.

About bringing uniformity in bus time-table, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to take the government bus service of the state to the heights and private establishments are not open at the cost of government buses. can be given He directed the officials to remove the deficiencies in the bus time-table as soon as possible.

Laljit Singh Bhullar said about the merger of debt-free buses of Panbus with roadways that the matter of merging 587 buses of Panbus with Punjab Roadways is at the final stage and the process will be completed in the near future.

The Transport Minister asked the officials to resolve all the matters related to giving jobs to the heirs of the deceased employees as per their merit in the department as soon as possible. Similarly, regarding the appointment of contract workers working in the institution in the department, he said that the state government is continuously working in this direction under its commitment and according to the report of the sub-committee constituted by the government, the action will be implemented.

The Cabinet Minister instructed the officials to take action within two months regarding the proper progress of each category and submit a report in this regard. Similarly, Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar also gave strict instructions to the officials regarding the demands such as release of funds for the repair of dilapidated workshops and procurement of spare parts for buses.
