The price of tomato has reached 122 rupees
According to the data available with the Department of Consumer Affairs, the average price of tomato at the All India level on June 27 is Rs 46 per kg. However, its maximum price has also been recorded at Rs 122 per kg.

What is the price of tomato in metro city?
Talking about the four metros of the country, the retail price of tomato in Delhi is Rs 60 per kg, in Mumbai Rs 42 per kg, in Kolkata Rs 75 per kg and in Chennai Rs 67 per kg. However, government data says that tomato prices have been recorded at Rs 122 per kg in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur and Karnataka’s Bellary.

Tomato became expensive even at Mother Dairy
In the Delhi-NCR region, the price of tomatoes has also doubled to around Rs 80 per kg at stores of Mother Dairy, which sells milk and fruits and vegetables. Tomato prices have surged as supply has been disrupted due to rains in key producing areas.
