Meanwhile, another case of looting has come to light from Ludhiana, where last night at 11 o’clock miscreants attacked and looted a young man. The miscreants hit him several times with a boon on his head. They knocked him unconscious on the Kundanpuri sewer culvert and escaped on the spot. The passers-by took the injured to the Civil Hospital. He has about 15 stitches on his head. The injured has been identified as Sumit, a resident of Kashmir Nagar.
According to the hospital administration, Sumit has marks of sharp weapons in many places on his head. Much blood has been shed. He is currently admitted due to his critical condition.
The injured Sumit said that he lives alone in Kashmir Nagar. Works in computer embroidery factory in Chandra Nagar. He was going home after a late night break. He was suddenly surrounded by two motorcycle-riding drug-addicted youths near the culvert of a dirty drain.
Sumit said that they demanded cash and mobile from him. On opposing this, the said youth started fighting with him on the road. After this they started attacking with sharp weapons.
According to Sumit, the miscreants took the cash and Oppo company’s mobile phone from his pocket and escaped. Sumit said that if the police check the CCTV of the area, the miscreants can be identified.
