The deadline given by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has expired today. Mann had given time till May 31 in the case of demanding Rs 2 crore in the name of giving employment to the player on Channi. He said that after talking to his nephew, he told himself that he had taken the money in the name of job. Failing that, he asked the player to present himself.

However, Channi directly reached Gurdwara Katalgarh Sahib after accusing the Chief Minister. He had given his clarification in front of Sri Guru Granth Sahib that he never asked for any money from anyone.

Former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi went to the Gurughar to give his explanation, then the next day the Chief Minister again appeared in front of the media. He directly gave a deadline to the former CM saying that Channi himself should talk to his relatives and tell the truth to the people, otherwise he would reveal all the secrets by presenting the player on May 31.
