The Indian stock market remained sluggish on Friday, the last trading day of the week. In early trade, the Sensex fell 250 points to 55,700 points.
At the same time, if we talk about Nifty, it was seen trading below 16,600 points with a fall of 70 points. Apart from HDFC, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, Powergrid, SBI, Nestle, Titan and Axis Bank and HCL, HDFC Bank is also on BSE. Declining index Are among the shares. The major gainers included L&T, Tata Steel, Ultratech, Maruti, ITC, Airtel, TCS and Kotak Bank.
The benchmark Sensex rose by 46.78 points, or 0.08 per cent, to 55,990.99 on Thursday. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty rose by 16.80 points, or 0.10 per cent, to 16,651.45. The biggest gain of one per cent in the Sensex was in Reliance Industries. In addition, HCL Tech, Bajaj Finserv, Asian Paints, Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finance and L&T were among the major beneficiaries. On the other hand, Indian Airtel, Powergrid, Maruti, Titan and Axis Bank declined.
