The stock market is rising, crossing the Sensex 57600 and the Nifty 17100

After closing at a record level last season, Amid positive signals from global marketsThe stock market opened at an all-time high on Wednesday, the third trading day of the week.

The benchmark Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange opened 129.78 points, or 0.23 per cent, higher at 57,682.17.

The wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty opened 36.60 points (0.21 per cent) higher at 17,168.80. In early trade, 1250 stocks rose, 439 stocks declined and 79 stocks remained unchanged. The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex had gained 795.40 points, or 1.43 per cent, last week. During the last session, the Sensex touched a record high of 57625.26 and the Nifty touched a record high of 17,153.50.
