The new digital job search platform of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) (www.dypa.gov.gr/hotjobs) for medium and large companies is fully operational.

With the new initiative of the digital platform, which is part of a set of active policies and actions to strengthen employment, such as Career Days and counseling workshops, DYPA attempts to strengthen its mediating role in the labor market and “build” a two-way and meaningful relationship with medium and large enterprises of the country, with a staff of more than 50 people, in order to achieve the effective coupling between supply and demand in the labor market.

According to competent officials of DYPA, the goal is its complete evolution from a stipend-based, bureaucratic organization, to a strong ally of citizens looking for work and businesses looking for employees with knowledge, talents and skills.

How does it work

The use of the new digital platform is easy to use and friendly for both businesses and prospective employees. The process is simple and quick.

In particular, companies have the possibility to register their advertisement for their vacant jobs on the digital platform, filling in the necessary fields regarding the name of the company, the number of staff employed, the address of the headquarters, contact details (name person in charge, telephone and e-mail), the number of job vacancies and the specialties they are looking for, while they can also indicate if they are interested in being informed about the time and place of the Career Days.

For their part, the unemployed or those looking for work can send their resume with the click of a button, which will contain all the information about their level of education, work experience, but also their skills.

Subsequently, the Service Unit for Medium and Large Enterprises (MEMME), utilizing the expertise of its specialized executives and the database of resumes, undertakes the provision of personalized, quality staffing services for businesses, at no cost, with the aim of the fastest possible employment integration or reintegration of the unemployed and finding the right staff for businesses.

In this direction, the choice given by the platform for searching with filters depending on the level of education, type of employment, specialty and previous service of the prospective employee contributes decisively.

In addition, the ability to search on the map of Greece is particularly useful, so that the experienced and properly trained employment consultants can identify the needs of businesses by region and cover them effectively with employees who have the appropriate knowledge and qualifications for the jobs offered.

It is noted that MEMME’s task is to undertake personnel finding actions by implementing pre-selection plans, with the main objective of recruitment, through a mediation process, which is designed and implemented specifically and individually for each company that seeks its services.

In particular, they are provided:

– Detailed recording of the company’s job vacancies, such as specialties and required qualifications, by a specialized employment consultant for employers.

– Researching suitable candidates, through the network of jobseekers’ job consultants.

– Pre-selection of candidates, through CV analysis and personal interviews.

– Continuous updating, sending pre-selected resumes and cooperation with the relevant HR department of the companies.

– Organization of Career Days, which offer the possibility of live communication and interview with a large number of candidates.

– Follow-up of final selections and recruitments, data exchange and evaluation/debriefing of the process.

“Extravert orientation and modern initiatives”

Speaking to APE-MBE, the governor of DYPA, Spyros Protopsaltis, states that, with the new “Hot Jobs” platform, which now operates on DYPA’s website, it becomes easier and more immediate to connect those looking for work with the companies they are looking for staff.

“In recent years, we have been moving dynamically in this direction. With an extroverted orientation and modern initiatives, we continue to invest in the creation of a dynamic collaborative environment, which will make it easier on the one hand for businesses to find human resources with the right knowledge and talents, and on the other hand for the unemployed to find the job that fits their job profile their. DYPA is changing and we ask citizens and businesses to test and utilize our new services and tools” notes Mr. Protopsaltis.
