The Election Commission has made it clear that the presence of a child's parent or guardian in the vicinity of a political leader will not be considered a violation of the guidelines. The condition is that the child should not be involved in any campaign activity of the political party. All parties and candidates are also asked to comply with Child Labor Prohibition and Regulation Act 1986.
