The DGP of Himachal took the stand of the Supreme Court, orders were issued to remove him from the post

DGP Sanjay Kundu has now approached the Supreme Court in the case of businessman Nishant, a resident of Palampur in Kangra district of Shimla. In this case, the Himachal High Court has directed the removal of DGP Sanjay Kundu and SP Kangra from their current posts. The hearing of this case in the High Court has been fixed on January 4. Before this, the Sukhwinder government has to take a decision to remove DGP and SP Kangra.

A division bench of Himachal High Court comprising Chief Justice MS Ramachandra Rao and Justice Jyotsana Reval Dua on Tuesday ordered the removal of DGP and SP Kangra in the case of threatening businessman Nishant.

Now DGP Sanjay Kundu has approached the Supreme Court to challenge these orders. The case of Sanjay Kundu IPS v. Registrar General High Court of Himachal Pradesh is still pending in the Supreme Court for listing, it will be listed soon.

In this case, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has given a statement that the next decision will be taken only after studying the decision. Let it be known that Nishant, a businessman from Palampur in Kangra district, accused DGP Sanjay Kundu of threatening his life and his family. On which an FIR was registered against the DGP on the complaint of the businessman after the orders of the Himachal High Court and now the High Court has directed the removal of the DGP and SP Kangra from their posts.
