Clear Pendency of Vehicles’ Passing: Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar has directed the staff of the department to work on Saturday (June 10, 2023) to remove the pendency of passing vehicles. Following the guidelines of the Cabinet Minister, the department has issued a written order in this regard and declared Saturday as a working day.

Giving more information, Laljit Singh Bhullar said that the department has adopted a new online tab slot system for issuing certificates of fitness (passing) to transport vehicles due to which the pendency of passing certificates has increased. Therefore, to remove this pendency, the coming Saturday has been declared as a working day.

The Transport Minister has instructed all Regional Transport Authority Secretaries and Motor Vehicle Inspectors of the state to ensure strict compliance of the orders. After the orders of the Cabinet Minister, Secretary Transport has also issued written orders.

Laljit Singh Bhullar has said that regarding the orders made by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann that no case of driving license and RC should be pending till June 15, the department is working day and night and till the appointed date this will be done to the people. Services will be provided in a timely manner.
