The death of the accused in the Morinda blasphemy case

Morinda sacrilege incident accused Death: An accused of blasphemy at the Kotwali Sahib Gurdwara of Morinda in Rupnagar district of Punjab died under suspicious circumstances late on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Jasveer Singh. He was lodged in Tamkot Jail in Mansa. Jasveer Singh was shifted from Rupnagar to Mansa Jail 4 days ago on April 29.

Jasveer Singh was suddenly brought to Civil Hospital in Mansa on Monday evening. He was undergoing treatment there, where the doctors declared him brought dead. The Jail Department says that Jasvir Singh had pain in his chest and was having difficulty in breathing. After which the prison administration immediately took him to the hospital.

The doctors of the civil hospital say that at 4:10 pm the accused Jasveer Singh was brought to the civil hospital. He had pain in his chest. At 8 pm, his health deteriorated. Attempts were made to revive him but he died at 9:10 pm.

Jasbir was attacked during the appearance

Just four days ago, the deceased Jasvir Singh was attacked during his court appearance. Police took Jasvir Singh to court. Meanwhile, a lawyer pointed a pistol at him. After which the police took immediate action and caught the accused lawyer. After this, the court sent Jasvir Singh to Mansa jail under judicial custody for 14 days.

Jasveer Singh had attacked the scribes in the Kotwali Sahib Gurdwara a week ago on Monday. Not only this, Jasvir Singh reached the Gurdwara Sahib with shoes. First he asked the readers to get up, then went straight to the Guru Granth Sahib and slapped the readers. Along with this, an attempt was made to desecrate Guru Granth Sahib. But the people immediately caught him and the mob beat him badly.
