According to media reports, the increase in fitment factor of central employees may be announced by next month. Reports are saying that if everything goes well, the fitment factor will increase. After this, the minimum salary of central employees will increase from 18 thousand rupees to 26 thousand rupees per month.
Central employees are demanding increase in fitment factor from 2.57 to 3.68 times. If the government accepts this demand, there will be a huge increase in the salary.
Similarly, looking at the current inflation data, it is estimated from the media reports that the dearness allowance of central employees may increase by 4 percent.
That is, DA of employees will increase from 42 percent to 46 percent. However, the final inflation figures are yet to come. That is, thus central employees are expected to get two benefits of fitment factor and dearness allowance.
On the other hand, the Odisha government has recently increased the salary of its employees. The state government has increased the dearness allowance to the employees from 38 percent to 42 percent. It has been implemented from January 2023. This will benefit about 7.5 lakh employees and pensioners of the state government.
