So far who has ‘Z+’ security
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Finance Minister and other Union Ministers are currently under ‘Z+’ security cover. Commandos of NSG are also provided in ‘Z+’ security, more than 55 jawans are deployed in ‘Z+’ security perimeter.
Different perimeters of protection
The number one security cover is ‘SPG’, the protection given to the Prime Minister and his family members, SPG came into existence after the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The ‘Z’ security perimeter consists of 22 personnel including 4 to 5 NSG commandos. Apart from this, police personnel are also involved, it is the third strongest security cordon in the country. 11 security personnel are provided in ‘Y’ level security perimeter which includes 1 to 2 NSG jawans.
