Dibrugarh Jail: Waris Punjab Day chief Amritpal Singh and his partner Pappalpreet and other members of the board constituted under NSA reached Dibrugarh Jail in Assam to meet the youth of Punjab. Nine Punjabi youths, including Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh and his close associate Papalpreet Singh, are lodged in Assam’s Dibrugarh jail under the National Security Act on charges of attack on Ajnala police station in Punjab and Khalistani activities. Papalpreet was arrested on April 10 and lodged in Dibrugarh Jail on April 11.

While Waris Punjab chief Amritpal Singh was arrested by the Punjab Police on April 23 from Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala’s gurughar in village Rode after being on the run for 36 days. Before his arrest here, he offered obeisance at Gurughar and also addressed the congregation present there.
