Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has clearly instructed the DGP of the state to investigate all the police officers who sheltered the dismissed Inspector Inderjit Singh and take strict action against them.
It has been said in the order that any officer or officers who have sheltered Inderjit Singh should be identified and then action should be taken against them.
It is to be noted that Inspector Inderjit Singh is accused of weakening the investigation against drug traffickers and filing false papers against innocent people.
Now the DGP has assigned the duty of ADG PRK Jaiswal to investigate the whole matter.
Look out notice issued against Rajjit Singh
A look out notice has been issued against the sacked police officer Rajjit Singh. On the other hand, the Vigilance Bureau has started an investigation against him. The government has sent the required letter to the Vigilance Bureau for investigation against Rajjit Singh.
Vigilance sources say that in the case of excess income from sources, properties, bank accounts and other institutions of all family members will be checked. It is being told that Rajjit Singh’s assets have been found in Mohali and other places. Currently, Rajjit Singh is said to be absconding.
