The news of a terrible accident has come to light in Mexico. A bus carrying migrants from Venezuela, Colombia and Central America crashed here, killing 17 people. According to Reuters, Puebla Interior Minister Julio Huerta told reporters that the accident happened on Sunday afternoon (February 19) on a highway as the bus was traveling north with 45 passengers on board.
He told the press conference that “at the time of the accident, 17 people died on the spot, while 15 other injured passengers were admitted to the hospital, out of which 2 died during treatment. The condition of five remains critical.”
However, the minister did not clarify at this time how many of the dead and injured were migrants. Mexican media reported that the accident occurred when the driver lost control of the bus. Let it be known that last week also dozens of migrants died in Panama. Meanwhile, the vehicle fell into the ditch. The accident is among the worst migrant accidents in the country’s history.
