Pathankot: Swine flu has hit Punjab. There are two cases. The health department has been alerted after two cases came to light. A separate 40-bed isolation ward is being prepared for patients in the district hospital.

He said that a swine flu corner will be made outside the emergency and 9 ventilators will be arranged in the isolation ward. On the other hand, MD medicine doctor, ENT specialist, child specialist and nursing staff will be present in the rapid response team.

Symptoms of swine flu are similar to the common flu. The patient may have high fever, cough and cold, difficulty in breathing, sneezing, runny nose, sore and itchy throat, chills, diarrhea and vomiting. If you notice any of these symptoms, it is important to immediately go to the nearest health center and get checked.
