He said that the government is cutting the prices of 6-18% shriveled grains and 10-80% blighted grains from Rs 5.31 to Rs 31.87. Force to impose cut per quintal He said that because of these conditions, the farmers, who are already suffering from economic depression, will suffer a loss of 350 crores and this may lead to an increase in suicides among the agricultural laborers, so the government immediately withdraws these conditions.
The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee said that a bonus of Rs 300 per quintal should be given to compensate for the loss of yield due to unseasonal rain due to climate change. He said that due to unseasonal rain, it has become difficult for the laborers to make a living, so the farm laborers should be given 50% compensation of their wages. The organization has decided to issue a demand letter for removal of these conditions in DC offices across Punjab on April 17.
The struggle committee said that the Punjab government should conduct the girdwaria honestly and give a compensation of 50 per acre. He said that if the government does not cut the wheat crop by backing down from these conditions, then the organization will go on a 2-day rail stop march on April 24.
