STF Ludhiana range has arrested the husband and wife along with 2 kg 100 grams of heroin during the blockade conducted on the basis of secret information. The value of recovered heroin is estimated to be around Rs 11 crore in the international market.
Giving information S. T. F. Ludhiana Range D. S. P. Devinder Chaudhary said that on the basis of secret information, when a husband and wife riding in a car were stopped and searched during the blockade on Ludhiana-Firozpur road, 2 kg 100 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.

He said that criminal cases have already been registered against the arrested accused and the woman’s father and brother are also in jail in the case of drug trafficking. He said that the arrested accused and accused are being interrogated further from where they used to get this heroin and to whom they supplied it. Many important revelations are expected during the inquiry.
