STF has been a huge success. The STF has once again foiled the intention of sending drugs to Pakistan’s Punjab in Amritsar. Police have seized 41 kg of heroin that came to India from Pakistan. Along with this, 3 smugglers have also been arrested. Smugglers used to bring narcotics into India through the Ravi River. The police are interrogating the smugglers.

According to the information received, the STF received information about the arrival of 41 kg of heroin from Pakistan in the middle of the night, after which a team was formed under the supervision of the AIG STF. While operating in Ramdas sector, the team succeeded in recovering heroin.

The smugglers who have been caught belong to Ramdas of Amritsar. The smugglers were transporting the consignment brought from across the border. In the initial interrogation, the accused said that the consignment was being sent to them through river routes just like the Pakistani smugglers caught in Ferozepur.

Officials are not sharing much information about the seized shipment at this time. Around 12 noon, STF will share information about the consignment and the smugglers. This is the largest haul ever caught in the month of August.

Recently, BSF and counter intelligence have seized 29 kg of heroin in Ferozepur sector. On the other hand, Pakistani smugglers were also caught, who were trying to cross the river via Sutlej by putting tires in drums.
