Bollywood Actress Sridevi Birth Anniversary: Today, on August 13, Google Doodle is celebrating the 60th birthday of late actress Sridevi, who is considered to be the first female superstar of Hindi cinema. On the occasion of her birthday, Google Doodle celebrated Chandni’s success and journey in cinema. During her career, the actress acted in some of the best films like Mr. India, Chalbaaz, Mom, English Vinglish. Sridevi’s full name was Sri Amma Younger Ayyappan. He was born on 13 August 1963 in Meenampatti, a small village in Tamil Nadu.

Started career as a child artist
At the age of just four, he started acting in films as a child artist from the Tamil film ‘Kandhan Karunai’. She made her Bollywood debut as a child artist in ‘Rani Mera Naam’ at the age of nine. On the strength of her hard work and dedication, Sridevi gradually made her mark in the film industry. At the age of 19, she made her Bollywood debut as an actress with the film ‘Solva Sawan’ opposite Amol Palekar.

Worked with Jitendra in 16 films
The film ‘Himmatwala’ with Jitendra is one of the best films of his career. This film earned very well at the box office. She worked with Jitendra in 16 films. His film ‘Sadma’ grabbed a lot of headlines. She was praised and won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for this film.

Sridevi bid farewell to the world on 24 February 2018
Sridevi, who made Bollywood famous with her powerful acting, was seen in hit films like ‘Mr India’, ‘Nagina’ and ‘Chandni’. After a long gap of 15 years, he made a grand comeback in the year 2013 with the film ‘English Vinglish’.

After this, she appeared in the film ‘Mom’ in the year 2018. However, his career came to a tragic end. He died on 24 February 2018 at Jumeirah Emirates Towers in Dubai. Her husband Boney Kapoor found her dead in the bathtub of their hotel room, after she died earlier of a heart attack. It was later described as ‘accidental drowning’.
