Shuttle Bus Service in Punjab: Aiming to give a big relief to the people of Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said that the state government will soon start shuttle bus service in major cities of Punjab.

The Chief Minister said that this shuttle bus service will provide quality public transport facility to the people. He said that this bus service is a pilot project of SAS. It will be started from Nagar (Mohali). Bhagwant Mann said that later this service will also be run in other big cities and towns of the state.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that with this step people will be provided with the best facilities for public transport. He hoped that these means of public transport would help in solving the problem of traffic jams in cities. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government will make every effort to run this shuttle bus service in all major cities of Punjab soon.

The Punjab CM said that apart from traffic jams, the problem of environmental pollution will also be reduced with this shuttle bus service as it will reduce oil consumption. He asked the officials to fulfill all the requirements regarding this service as soon as possible so that it can be started as soon as possible. Bhagwant Mann said that he will personally review the project for immediate implementation in a timely manner.

Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister A Venu Prasad and others were present in this meeting.
