Programs came in various temples on Hanuman Jayanti
Hanuman birth anniversary was celebrated with great pomp in Ludhiana today (on Saturday). A huge crowd of devotees gathered to see the statue of Hanuman, the 72 feet tall Hanuman, who is considered the largest 72 feet high of Asia at Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple in Habowal in the city.

The temple committee officials Anuj Madan and Risin Jain gave this information. Other major temples of the city also celebrated the festival. Sankirtan Hanuman Temple of Daresi, Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple on Shahpur Road and Sankirtan were organized throughout the day at Durga Mata Temple.

Devotees made a special adornment of Hanuman ji. Bala ji’s court was decorated with Lal Chola, Sindoor, Mattress, Paan, Coconut, Jasmine Jyoti and banana. Many devotees also fasted. Cake was cut in temples and toffees, biscuits, fruits, sweets and toys were distributed to the children.
In the evening, a special sankirtana was organized at Sankatmochan Hanuman Temple. The artists praised Bala ji, which made the devotees dance. The chief guests were honored in the program. Bhandare was also organized with Hanuman ji’s Maha Aarti. Anchor and religious rituals were also organized in various areas of the city.
