In Jalandhar on Tuesday morning at around 7 o’clock, some miscreants entered the house and shot at the members of a family. One woman has died due to bullet injury while one person is injured. The injured has been identified as Deepak who is the son of the deceased woman while the woman’s husband has gone to Dubai.
The case is of Mehtpur area. The miscreants escaped after firing bullets. On hearing the sound of gunshots, the people of the neighborhood gathered outside the house and when they went inside, they found the woman and a man named Deepak lying in a pool of blood. People immediately informed the police and rushed to the government hospital. Doctors declared the woman dead at the hospital.
It is being told that the young man came to the house of the woman of village Udhowal riding a bike. He had said that he had come to take the electricity meter reading, on which the woman opened the door and let him inside. As soon as he entered, the young man took out a pistol and shot at the woman. Due to this, the woman died on the spot while her son who came to save her was injured.
Deepak’s condition is critical in the attack. It is not yet known who the attackers were and why they attacked. Currently, the police have registered a case of murder and started investigation.
