The Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has issued a whip to all MLAs to attend an important meeting in Mumbai today, while the opposition faction led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has also called on the party here. A separate meeting of MLAs has been called.

Sharad Pawar-led NCP chief whip Jatinder Awahad said in a one-line whip that on July 5, Pawar has called a meeting at YB Chavan Center at 1 pm and attendance of all MLAs is mandatory. The Ajit Pawar faction issued a notice to all present and former MLAs, MPs, office-bearers, working committee members and others at the MET Institute campus in suburban Bandra today.

14 MLAs have arrived in Sharad Pawar’s meeting and 29 MLAs have arrived in Ajit Pawar’s meeting, but the Ajit Pawar group claims that 32 MLAs have arrived in the meeting.
