Controversy has again erupted over the Punjabi religious film Dastan-e-Sirhind. The Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee has again objected to the release of the film. The secretary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has tweeted that the film has not been given any approval by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. The organizers of the film are responsible for the boards being put up regarding its release on November 5.

Also, the committee has appealed to the Sangat to be aware of any kind of false propaganda and at the same time the organizers of the film have also been requested to take a decision regarding the film according to the sentiments of the Sikh community. The congregation is also reminded that the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, through the resolution of the Dharma Prachar Committee, has banned any kind of filming about the Gurus, their families and Sahibzades.

Anger in the Sikh community too

On the other hand, the Sikh community is also protesting against the film Dastan-e-Sirhind. They say that what has been shown about Sikh history in the film will not be tolerated. In this regard, many Sikh organizations have already said to stop the release of the film. They say that Sikhs have been forced to worship idols by resorting to animation films.

Advocate Parminder Singh Dhingra, president of All India Sikh Students Federation, said during that conference that the panth should form a strong panel, which would keep an eye on activities promoting Sikhism with new technology. Earlier too, Chhote Sahibjadas were shown in cinema halls through animation, but now ordinary people like Chhota Sahibjadas have been shown answering questions. Whom the Sikh community will never hate.
