It is clear that in thousands of cases pending in all lower courts of Punjab, senior citizens will get relief from appearance. With this step of the Punjab government, the senior citizens of the state will get relief from not appearing in court on time, problems during commuting and all other reasons. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has shared a post regarding this decision on the party’s Facebook page. On this, the people of Punjab have termed this decision of AAP as commendable.

He will have to face a hearing in the High Court

This decision of the Punjab government is only for the functioning of the lower courts, but all the cases in the Punjab and Haryana High Court will continue to be heard as before. People of all age groups have to appear personally in cases pending in the High Court. As earlier, the option of online appearance could be available only on orders of the High Court.
