The sports ministry has said that the year is about to end and earlier these announcements were made in haste. After the suspension of WFI, Rio Olympics-2016 bronze medalist Sakshi Malik has said that she wants justice to be done to the girls. She said that she will take a decision on the next step with her entire team. He said that this is the first step which has gone well and also expressed hope that the government should understand what the daughters and sisters are fighting for. Sakshi said that his fight is not with the government but with a person. Our battle was with women. We are fighting this battle in our own way.

After this suspension, former president of WFI Bhushan has also expressed his views. He has said that he worked for wrestling for 12 years, time will tell what he did right and what he did wrong. He said that now he has severed his relationship from wrestling and now whatever decision has to be taken, whether to talk to the government or to follow the legal process, it will be done by those who have been selected. Bhushan has said that he has distanced himself from wrestling and now his focus is on the Lok Sabha elections. They said they have a lot of work to do. They said that whatever happens in the case of wrestling has nothing to do with them.
