The Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha said that the main objective of the Punjab government is to make Punjab a Rangla Punjab. To make Punjab Rangla Punjab, the prosperity of farmers is very important. If the farmers are happy then Punjab and our country itself will be happy.
He said that it is important for farmers to adopt crop diversification. To adopt crop diversification, we have to convince the farmers that if they adopt crop diversification and plant other crops, they will get additional value from their yield.
He said that MSP is very important and we have to give maximum MSP to economically empower the farmers. He said that more than 60 percent of the population is directly or indirectly associated with agriculture. Farmers should move out of the crop rotation and cultivate everything that is in high demand, including vegetables, fruits and millets.
He said that small units related to agriculture should also be set up with which the state’s agriculture will grow further. He said that farmers also need to be aware now. To get out of crop diversification, farmers should seek advice from agricultural experts and increase their crop yields scientifically.
