This engine with 52nm torque can reach a speed of 170 to 180 kilometers per hour due to the 6 speed constant mesh gear box. However, Indian highways may not accept this speed because even on the biggest expressways, it is not allowed to drive faster than 120 kilometers per hour.
Now even if the engine gets hot at this speed, Royal Enfield has kept both oil and air cooling options for that. Its advantage is that the engine works smooth and flawless even after covering long distances. It also has a windshield to avoid head wind at high speeds.
Now talking about mileage, such a heavy bike usually does not give good mileage, yet experts believe that RE Meteor 650 can give a city average of 24-25.

Talking about the variants of RE meteor 650, Royal Enfield has given three options in it. The names of all the three variants have been kept astronomy based. This includes the Super Meteor 650 Interstellar, Super Meteor 650 Celestial and Super Meteor 650 Astral.
