Recruitment to the Municipal Police for the first time after 14 years – The announcement was published

The announcement regarding the filling of 1,213 positions of permanent University, Technological and Secondary Education personnel in the Municipal Police was published.

It is worth noting that this is the first time that an announcement has been published for the staffing of the Municipal Police in the last 14 years, as the last time recruitments were made in the respective services was in 2010.

The specific number of positions resulted from the submission of corresponding requests by the municipalities, at the invitation of the Ministry of the Interior, in order to cover the staffing needs of their services, immediately after the legislation regarding the reform of the municipal police.

Recruitment to the Municipal Police is through ASEP

It is pointed out that this is the first time that recruitment to the Municipal Police will be carried out entirely through the Supreme Personnel Selection Board (S.S.E.P.).

In her statement, Nikis Kerameos stated that: “Our main concern is to constantly improve the services citizens receive both from the central State and from the Local Government. In this context, we are implementing the staffing of the Municipal Police, for the first time after 14 years, through a purely meritorious and completely impartial process under the A.S.E.P., in order to assist the Municipalities in the demanding work that is about improving the daily life of their citizens.”

In detail, for each category, the positions are distributed as follows:

Candidates, who possess the required qualifications of the advertised positions, must:

To complete and submit an application for participation in the A.S.E.P., exclusively through its website (www.asep.gr). The deadline for submitting electronic applications for participation begins on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. and ends on March 26, 2024, Tuesday at 2:00 p.m.

A three-euro receipt, which the candidate obtains electronically through the electronic receipt application (e-Receipt).

Those candidates invited by A.S.E.P. before the compilation of the temporary lists of classification and appointees must, within a period of ten working days defined by the ASEP, submit in electronic form, in accordance with a relevant Notice to be issued, the supporting documents required on a case-by-case basis, for the proof of their qualifications, criteria and/or qualities, taken into account on the basis of their application to determine the order of priority in the ranking tables;

Photocopy of both sides of the individual identity card or the relevant temporary certificate of the competent authority or of the critical pages of the passport (i.e. those where the number and identification details of the holder are mentioned) or of the two sides of the driving license or of the critical pages of the individual health record of any insurance company. If the date of birth does not appear from these, a certificate or birth certificate must also be presented.

The necessary, as the case may be, supporting documents that prove the qualifications, criteria or qualities that the candidates rely on in their participation application. In the event that the candidates do not provide the necessary supporting documents, as the case may be, to prove the qualifications, criteria and/or qualities that they declare with their application for participation in the procedure and that are taken into account for their ranking in the relevant tables, as the case may be, they are either deleted from them or their score is reformed.

A candidate who does not submit to A.S.E.P. after the relevant announcement, in electronic form the required supporting documents, is excluded from the further process.
