Chetan Singh Jouramajra: On behalf of Chief Minister Punjab, Defense Services Welfare Minister Punjab Chetan Singh Jaudamajra attended the 31st meeting of Central Military Board held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
The meeting was attended by ministers of various states, senior officials of the Ministry of Defense and other senior officials of the Central Military Board, the respective State Military Boards. During this meeting, the Defense Minister said that ex-servicemen are our national asset. He said that their contribution in defense of motherland, nation building and many other natural calamities is highly commendable. Everyone is aware of their contribution during Covid-19.
Rajnath Singh lauded the ex-servicemen of Punjab who always fought bravely to protect our borders. The Defense Minister said that the entire country will always be indebted to him. Various welfare schemes for ex-servicemen and their dependents were reviewed on the occasion and special emphasis was laid on rehabilitation efforts for ex-servicemen who retired at an early age.
Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that the Bhagwant Mann government is making all possible efforts for the welfare of our ex-servicemen and the Defense Minister appreciated the commitment of the Punjab government for the welfare of the ex-servicemen community. The Cabinet Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to provide various welfare schemes and adequate infrastructure for ex-servicemen besides providing 13 per cent reservation in all jobs.
Acknowledging the contribution of ex-servicemen of Punjab, Jaudamajra said that his government salutes all ex-servicemen for their service to the country.
