Jaipur: In Rajasthan’s Jaipur, the strike of Pulwama martyrs’ heroines along with Rajya Sabha MP Kirorilal Meena continued on Saturday. On the other hand, these heroines had gone to the Raj Bhavan along with BJP leader Meena to hand over the memorandum to the Governor of Rajasthan. After this, she reached the Chief Minister’s residence to meet CM Ashok Gehlot. During this, the police abused and heckled them. Veerangana Manju Jat, wife of Rohitashv Lamba, who was martyred in the Pulwama terror attack, was injured in police action. He has been admitted to SMS Hospital for treatment.

Sharing the video of the incident on Twitter, BJP MP Kirorilal Meena wrote, “Today, along with all the three heroines, I went to the Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum to the Governor, Mr. Kalraj Mishra. After handing over the memorandum, when the heroines reached the Chief Minister’s residence to meet the Chief Minister, the police indecently assaulted them. He also wrote, ‘Is it a crime for the heroines to go to the government residence to meet the head of the state, who were abused and beaten up by the police?’

Earlier, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Saturday targeted the ongoing political tussle in the ruling party Congress in Rajasthan and said that Rajasthan has lagged behind due to the infighting in the Congress. Taking a jibe at the ongoing tussle between Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot, Raje said, “They have left no stone unturned to hurt each other.” The whole four years were spent in beating each other, but who beat whom.. it is not my subject. Rajasthan has lagged behind because of their fight.

Addressing a public meeting organized on the occasion of his birthday in Salasar, Raje surrounded the government on corruption, law and order, gang war and Dalit harassment, saying that corruption has reached its peak in the state and no work is done without money. The former Chief Minister said that the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) states that illegal mining is widespread in Rajasthan and crores of rupees are being eaten up. He said, “Take a look at the figures and see how much corruption is there in Rajasthan, if any state is at the top in the whole country then it is Rajasthan.”

Raje said that incidents of looting, rape, Dalit atrocities, dacoity, religious frenzy and gang wars are common in the state. He said that criminals from other states have also made Rajasthan their base. He said, ‘If the public goes, where will they go? To whom to go, to whom to seek justice, Rajasthan is burning. The Chief Minister is sleeping peacefully, he has no idea that public anger has reached his chair and his government will not survive within a few days. (with language input)
