Punjab PA Growth Rate: Punjab Finance and Planning Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government is preparing a vision document to achieve an economic growth rate of 7.5 percent annually by 2030 and 10 percent annually by 2047. Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that this comprehensive document being prepared by the Planning Department will describe the current situation, challenges in various sectors, short-term (2030) and long-term (2047) goals, and how to achieve these goals. The finance minister further said that the document will also highlight the areas that require serious and intensive efforts to boost employment, industry, agriculture and rural development, infrastructure development, sustainable cities and habitats of the state. Cheema said efforts are being made to focus on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education, health infrastructure and provision, achieving gender equality, affordable and clean energy, action to save the climate and conservation of natural resources. are

The Finance Minister said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led government is committed to restore the former glory of the state by creating ‘Rangla Punjab’ through effective economic policies and pro-people programs like ‘Sarkar Aaphai Dwar’. He said that so far three cabinet meetings have been held at Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Mansa under the ‘Sarkar Apahe Dwar’ programme. He said that for the first time in the state, the entire governance system has been revolutionized by making the bureaucracy directly accountable to the people.

Highlighting the importance of ‘Sarkar Aaphai Dwar’, Cheema said that during these programmes, common people, organizations and non-governmental organizations can raise their issues directly before the Cabinet Minister of the concerned department, thereby improving the district level administration.
