Punjab Police Traffic Wing signed MoU with leading organizations to further improve road safety and traffic management
Map My India, Punjab-based Safe Society, Gurugram-based Intozy Tech and Jaipur-based Muskan Foundation joined hands with Punjab Police.

Taking another step to enhance road safety and improve traffic management in the state as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Traffic Wing of Punjab Police has signed MoUs with four reputed organizations so that the state To ensure a safer and more efficient transportation network across the country.
During an important event at the Punjab Road Safety and Traffic Research Center, SAS Nagar, under the leadership of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Traffic AS Roy, leading companies including Map My India, including Punjab-based SAFE Society, Gurugram-based Intoji Tech Private Limited and Jaipur-based Muskan Foundation, signed MoUs. Rohan Verma, CEO-cum-Executive Director of Map My India, Rupinder Singh, Chairperson of Safe Society, Shantanu Bassin, Trustee of Muskan Foundation and Naresh Kumar, Founder and CEO of Intozy were present on the occasion.
The move comes in view of the launch of the Road Safety Force (SSF), a special police team dedicated to road safety and effective control of criminals.
ADGP A.S. Rai said that the joint efforts of these organizations will pave the way for safe roads, efficient traffic and better settlements and a bright future for Punjab. He said, “We are committed to making the roads of the state safe for all the citizens.”
He said that these companies will create an environment for scientific investigation and knowledge creation to enhance road safety and traffic management strategies. Whereas, the use of artificial intelligence will further strengthen road safety and create an optimized environment to revolutionize traffic control in the state so that accidents can be avoided through better traffic management.
The ADGP said, “This initiative will not only create a safer environment for all citizens by reducing road deaths and accidents, but also improve traffic management, control, transportation, road safety engineering, intelligent transport solutions, m-policing, e-policing and state The police will be given a boost towards more expertise through training. He added that this will lead to a deeper understanding of traffic patterns and road safety challenges that will ultimately lead to more effective solutions.
He said that applied research would be facilitated through joint expertise and data exchange, which could be used to disseminate findings for the wider benefit of society. He said that this partnership will promote innovation and knowledge sharing in the field of road safety.
Director of Punjab Road Safety and Traffic Research Center Dr. Navdeep Asija said that this is another initiative of Punjab Police to bring a scientific approach to road safety and this will further enhance the data-based decision-making capacity of the Traffic Wing of Punjab Police.
It is worth noting that the signatories have also pledged full support to the “Decade of Action on Road Safety” designated by the United Nations from 2021 to 2030.

Map My India: Will provide real-time advisories and navigation services and relevant information on important information such as accidents, road closures and VIP traffic.
Intozy Tech: will help use artificial intelligence to optimize traffic management, contributing to a safer and more efficient road network.
Safe Society: Will assist in conducting road safety audits, identifying black spots, and making improvements to enhance road safety.
Muskan Foundation: Will play a major role in road safety education and awareness programmes, capacity building for police personnel, technical road safety audits, black spot identification, and improvement works.
