The Chief Minister said that there is no need to panic as the water level is below the danger mark. He asked the officials to inform the people regularly about the water level so that no misunderstandings arise. He said that it is a matter of relief that the Meteorological Department has predicted no rain in the coming days, which will reduce the water level further. Bhagwant Mann appealed to the people not to open floodgates of dams or to believe rumors about floods without confirmation from the authorities.

The Punjab CM appealed to the media to play a constructive role instead of creating panic by running fake news about the floods. Bhagwant Mann said that the state government will leave no stone unturned to keep a complete eye on the entire situation.

Attacking the political opponents for doing politics even in this serious situation, the Chief Minister said that our government has done remarkable work in every field till the cleaning of canals. He said that detailed instructions have been issued to the Deputy Commissioners to conduct immediate special vigil of the rain-affected areas so that damage to crops, houses, livestock and other damages can be ascertained on a priority basis. Bhagwant Mann assured the people that the government is committed to protect their interests from the wrath of nature.

He said that the state government is committed to help the people in this dire crisis and no stone will be left unturned for this noble cause.
