Mumbai: Today is the birth anniversary of Bollywood veteran late actor Pran. He was born in a wealthy Punjabi Hindu family on February 12, 1920 in Ballimaran, Old Delhi. His father Kewal Krishna Sikand was a civil engineer as well as a government civil contractor and his mother was Rameshwari. Pran married Shukla Sikand in 1945. With whom he has two sons, Arvind and Sunil Sikand, and a daughter, Pinky. Pran was famous for his villainy in Hindi films.
Today even though he is not among all of us, but people still watch his films with great enthusiasm. Pran had given more than 362 films to the industry in his film career. You will be very surprised to know that the film which gave actor Pran a Bollywood superstar overnight. The same Zanjeer was seen by Pran Saheb after 20 years of its release. It was mentioned by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan himself that Pran never used to watch his own films.
