Pramod Bhagat and Sukant Kadam won gold medal in Brazil Para Badminton International Men’s Doubles

Shuttlers Pramod Bhagat and Sukant Kadam won the men’s doubles gold medal at the Brazil Para-Badminton International 2023. In singles, Pramod had to settle for silver and Sukant with bronze. Pramod and Sukanth defeated the Korean pair of Joo Dongjae and Shin Kyung Hwan in men’s doubles SL3 and SL4.

The competition in the final was tight but the Indian pair finished the game in straight sets. Both Pramod and Sukant played their best game of the tournament and captured the gold medal with 22-20 and 21-19.

Pramod lost to fellow Indian Kuma Nitesh 12-21 13-21 in the final of the singles SL-3 category and had to settle for silver. Pramod Bhagat said that I am happy with my performance but there is still room for improvement. I had a bad day in singles and I want to congratulate Nitesh for playing well.

On the other hand, Sukant won a bronze medal in his singles SL-4 category. Explaining this, Sukant said that I am happy with my doubles performance but I will work harder on my singles game.

Pramod and Sukant’s coach Sheeba Prasad Das said that both played well but there is a lot of room for improvement. I have spoken to them and told them about the mistakes.
