This is the lie scam in SGPC Langar
During the investigation of the langar scam in Darbar Sahib Sri Amritsar, a scam of 62 lakhs was first revealed, then it increased to nearly 1 crore. From April 2019 to December 2022, manipulation of about one crore was revealed in the auction and sale of juth contract, sale of dry bread, rice and paddy, chokar rolla offering at Langar. The flying department of SGPC had earlier suspended 2 storekeepers and instructed them to collect lakhs of rupees from them.
It is being told that managers, supervisors, storekeepers are responsible in this whole scam. It was also revealed that the names of the present manager and 3 retired managers were also exposed in the scam.
Before this, the case of theft of 324 images of Sri Guru Granth Sahib also came to light. At that time, the then Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh, constituted an inquiry committee. In the report, while not calling it theft, the lack of administrative structure was also blamed. However, this issue is still huge. Sikh organizations have repeatedly besieged the SGPC over this.
