Video Life Certificate: The country’s second largest government bank Punjab National Bank (PNB) has brought such a facility for pensioners through which they can submit life certificate or life certificate sitting at home. PNB has introduced a new Video Based Customer Identification Process (Video Call System) through which elderly pensioners will be able to submit their life certificate through video call sitting at home.

In fact, in the midst of the era of Kovid epidemic raising its head again, various restrictions are being imposed across the country and people are being appealed to leave the house only when absolutely necessary. Punjab National Bank had recently informed about this by tweeting that now life certificates can be submitted through video call. February 28, 2022 is the last date for this.
Certificates can be submitted by February 28
The last date for submission of life certificate for elderly pensioners was extended from 31 December 2021 to 28 February 2022 as many pensioners were not able to submit their life certificate till this date. Although the date of submission of life certificate is 30 November every year, but in view of the Kovid circumstances, its last date has been extended by the Pension Department first to 31st December and then to 28th February.
Learn how you can submit life certificate through video call
- Go to PNB website https://www.pnbindia.in/ and select Life Certificate option in Online Services.
- Proceed to this link and enter your account number and mobile number.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and tick the column ‘Accepting the Terms and Conditions’ to proceed.
- Enter the OTP for Aadhaar Verification that would have been received on your mobile.
- Select your pension type. If you select Regular Pension then click on ‘Submit Request’ for Video Life Certificate.
- Submit your employment and marital status or marital status information for family pension.
- Click on ‘Submit Request’ for Video Life Certificate.
- After doing all the process your application for Video Life Certificate will be successfully submitted.
- At the appointed time, the bank officials will make a video call to you and submit the video life certificate after completing all the procedures that you are required to do.
