PM Modi to launch Jal Jeevan Mission app today, interact with village panchayats

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today launch the Jal Jeevan Mission’s mobile app and the National Jal Jeevan Kosh. He will also hold talks with village panchayats and water committees.

According to information received from the Prime Minister’s Office, under the National Water Life Fund, water supply will be ensured to homes, schools and Anganwadi Centers in rural areas. Taps will be installed. Anyone, organization, company or NGO can donate to this fund.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also tweeted about it. He wrote that on October 2 at 11 am he would take part in the program of Jal Shakti and Gram Vikas. During this time he would interact with the Gram Panchayats and Water Committees to make them aware about water and the benefits of this mission. Simultaneously, the Jal Jeevan Mission app and the National Jal Jeevan Kosh will also be launched. Let me tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Jal Jeevan Mission in August 2019. The purpose of this mission is to provide water supply to every household. At present, only 17 per cent of the people in rural areas have access to water.
