The Union Government on Thursday informed the Supreme Court that it would provide Rs 8 lakh for post-graduate (PG) reservation under NEET (National Eligibilityย ย Admission Test) under the Economically Weak Section (EWS) category. Will review the annual income criteria.
The court was hearing a case filed by NEET candidates challenging the July 29 notification declaring 27% quota for OBCs and 10% for EWS in the All India Quota (AIQ) category. The government assured the court that NEET counseling would be adjourned for four weeks pending a decision on the EWS quota.
