Along with this, the price of Brent crude has increased by 1.19 dollars (1.46 percent) to 82.78 dollars per barrel. According to the new rate list released by oil companies on Saturday, petrol and diesel have become expensive in many states including Punjab, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. If we talk about Punjab, petrol is being sold at Rs 97.81 per liter with an increase of 47 paise and diesel is being sold at Rs 88.15 per liter with an increase of 45 paise. Oil prices are stable in all four metros of the country.

Along with this, the prices of petrol and diesel in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh have been reduced by 63 paise and 57 paise respectively, after which the prices of both have become Rs 95.07 and Rs 84.38 per litre. Apart from Himachal Pradesh, petrol and diesel have become cheaper in many states including Telangana, Karnataka, Haryana and Jharkhand.

Petrol and diesel prices change every day at 6 am and new rates are released. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other items to petrol and diesel prices, it almost doubles the original price. This is the reason why we have to buy petrol and diesel so expensively.
