Chief Secretary SS Sandhu told reporters that the proposed policy was approved in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Sandhu said that the cabinet also approved the State Coarse Grain Mission, under which one kilogram of coarse grains will be distributed to each family through the public distribution system under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana, while meals made from coarse grains will also be served in mid-day meals in schools. will be given.

Compensation to the affected people in Joshimath

Informing about the policy for compensation and permanent rehabilitation of the affected people in Joshimath, Disaster Management Secretary Ranjit Kumar Sinha said that the rate of compensation has been fixed for the buildings and commercial buildings which cannot be used. But, the rate of compensation for the land will be decided later. He said that in the second option proposed by the state government, an affected person can take compensation for his damaged house as well as land up to 75 square meters. In the third option, the affected people can demand a ready-made house in lieu of their affected house and land. Sinha said that the state government would give them houses built on an area of ​​50 square meters and an additional 25 square meters of land would be given for keeping cattle and for other works.
