Pathan’s worldwide collection crosses Rs 887 crore, the strong performance of the film continues

Pathan is likely to cross the Rs 900 crore mark over the weekend. The film will not get any major competition before the release of Kartik Aaryan’s Shehzada on February 17.

Pathan has broken RRR’s record of around $14 million in the US and Canada. Pathan is expected to cross Rs 900 crore collection by the third weekend. Last year was bad for the Bollywood industry. Last year only select films like Kashmir Files, Brahmastra, Drishyam 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 were successful. This film is directed by Siddharth Anand. It is being shown on around 8,000 screens in the country and abroad. By advance booking Pathan had left behind all the big films of the previous year. The craze of its First Day First Show was such that the film’s exhibitors were forced to take a big decision. After the first show, the exhibitors had decided to extend Pathan to 300 shows.

The film was leaked online on several pirated websites soon after its release. Although, initially it was available in CamRip or DVDRip, but now it is also being made available on the instant messaging platform Telegram. Telegram has long been used extensively for piracy. Be it bots or a user’s personal account, Telegram is used in many ways to leak movies and make them available to people.
