Pandit Banaras Tiwari, father of famous actor Pankaj Tripathi, has passed away at the age of 99. According to reports, Pankaj was shooting for a film in Uttarakhand and is now going back to his village in Gopalganj, Bihar.
The official statement of Pankaj Tripathi’s team said, ‘It is with a heavy heart that Pankaj Tripathi’s father Pandit Banaras Tiwari is no more.
He lived a healthy life of 99 years. His last rites will be performed today among his immediate family. Pankaj Tripathi is currently visiting his village Gopalganj. Pankaj’s latest release ‘OMG 2’ is doing well at the box office.
The film has earned Rs 113.67 crore at the box office on its 10th day. It also stars Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam in lead roles.
