Petroleum companies today issued new rates for petrol and diesel amid a softening in crude oil prices. Petrol and diesel prices have eased for the 19th consecutive day today.
Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on Thursday. Today, petrol is selling at Rs 101.84 and diesel at Rs 89.87 per liter in Delhi. Fuel prices were last hiked on July 17. The cheapest petrol and diesel in the country is in Port Blair and the most expensive is in Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan.
If we talk about crude oil, the growing fear of delta forms of coronavirus around the world is having an effect on the crude oil market. Crude oil prices softened for the third day in a row. On Wednesday, the US West Texas Intermediate Or WTI crude fell 1. 1.20 to 68 68.15 a barrel. Brent crude also fell by 1. 1.18 to 70 70.38.
