Chandigarh, February 20: An NRI who travelled down from United States, San Jose to visit Amritsar on her way back, Viji bought a box of laddoos to eat from Baba Tea Stall at Amritsar airport. Later when the flight landed in Delhi, when she opened the box and found it to be moldy.

Viji, bought the laddoos from the famous sweet shop Baba Tea Stall, just six hours ago from Amritsar Airport. To her surprise, the box of sweets is full of fungus. She immediately made a complaint to Amritsar Airport Authority and Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), she also clicked pictures and uploaded it on Twitter.

Airport Authority started investigation after the complaint was lodged. Airport director VK Seth said that this matter has also come to his notice, he later said these are private stalls put up in the Airport.

According to information as soon as the complaint was received, a show-cause notice has been sent to Baba Tea Stall, we are yet awaiting answer from the owner. Action will be taken after enquiry by the authorizes.
