Twitter New Rules: Elon Musk, owner of microblogging site Twitter, made a big announcement on Saturday (July 1) about the number of tweets a user reads in a day. “We implemented these temporary limits to combat data scraping and system manipulation,” Elon Musk tweeted. Verified accounts (users) are limited to 6000 posts (read) a day. Unverified accounts will be able to read 600 posts and new unverified accounts will be able to read 300 posts per day.

In another tweet, Musk said that soon the rate limit will be increased to 8000 for verified (accounts), 800 for unverified and 400 for new unverified.

Earlier on Saturday, many users around the world complained of problems with activities like tweeting or following. Many users said they are getting warnings about exceeding the rate limit. This means they’ve exceeded the site’s limit on the number of tweets or new accounts they can follow within a certain period of time.

A temporary emergency measure was also issued for users on Friday (June 30). Users were told that they would have to log in to Twitter first to see the tweets. Also, Elon Musk claimed that data was stolen from Twitter and said that it is an abusive service for ordinary users.

Let us tell you that the verification badge known as Blue Tick was earlier given for free but after Elon Musk became the owner of Twitter, a fee was fixed for it. Musk bought the company for 44 billion US dollars last year after many attempts.
